The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RJWF) Future of Nursing: State Implementation Program (SIP) helped bolster efforts of the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action to boost statewide commitment toward implementing recommendations from the Institute of Medicine (IOM) report—The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health, while building a sustainable infrastructure. Two year grants, of up to $150,000, were provided to a total of 34 State Action Coalitions between February 1, 2013 and October 31, 2017. The Center to Champion Nursing in America, an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP, and RWJF, served as the national program office.
