Project Accomplishments:
Idaho looked at education and data. The Action Coalition advanced academic progression in the state through a high-level analysis of resources available to support nursing education, an assessment of nursing programs that included in-person visits to each school. Idaho also worked with national experts in nursing education. There is substantial interest in dual enrollment nursing programs. One that started is expanding, and others plan to develop the model. Idaho educators standardized prerequisites for admission to nursing school and are making progress toward aligning curricula among the schools.
This project also addressed data, and substantial gains were made in analyzing and consolidating data, with critical support from the Idaho Department of Labor.
