13The graph below illustrates the number of nurse-led clinics in the United States affiliated with the National Nursing Centers Consortium that are located in medically underserved areas as defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration. These data expand on Dashboard Indicator 3: Removing Barriers to Practice and Care, used to measure the Campaign’s progress toward modernizing outdated policies (public and private), changing state and federal laws and regulations, and removing cultural and organizational barriers to allow advanced practice registered nurses to practice to the full extent of their education and training.
