Stronger Than the Sum of Our Parts: Interprofessional Collaboration in Health Care

The Wharton Healthcare Quarterly published four articles about practices that can be put into action for effective interprofessional collaboration (IPC) in health care.

The need is great: As the Institute of Medicine report The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health, released in 2010, said, “As the delivery of care becomes more complex across a wide range of settings, and the need to coordinate care among multiple providers becomes ever more important, developing well-functioning teams becomes a crucial objective throughout the healthcare system.”

The introduction to the series that lays out principles of effective collaboration can be found by following the “view” button to the  right.
