It’s All About Listening: Getting Your Community’s Ideas on Health in America and Nursing
September 14, 2018
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM ET
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is proposing support for a new study on the health and well-being of our nation, including examining the role of nurses in improving the population’s health.
The Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action encourages Action Coalitions to host “listening sessions” with those in your community involved with Culture of Health work, or potential partners invested in health, to learn their concerns and ideas. We are interested in exploring how nursing should evolve to help meet the unmet health and social care needs of our population. The input you collect will help inform the study committee’s efforts.
On this webinar, RWJF Senior Adviser for Nursing and Campaign Director Susan B. Hassmiller, PhD, RN, FAAN, and the Campaign’s communications team, will provide the background and materials you need for a listening session, plus tips for a successful gathering. This webinar will provide Action Coalitions with:
- Background on the proposed report.
- Tips on hosting a listening session in your community.
- A template to make inviting people as easy as sending an email.
Are you interested in hosting a listening session? Email Bethany Hardy and Danielle Robbio to receive a draft invitation for participants and the question guide and to share your plans.
