Jennifer A. Peed, MSW
Managing Director
Jennifer Peed directs the Office of Center Integration at the Center to Champion Nursing in America, an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to improve America’s health through nursing. Peed provides financial oversight, directs operational activities, and provides guidance on special projects. She also serves as chief of staff for the Campaign for Action.
Prior to joining AARP in September 2013, Peed was an independent consultant providing management, strategic guidance, research, and policy analysis services to better understand and promote health, wellness, and social welfare. She also worked for several nonprofit organizations and academic institutions, holding positions as program director, grant administrator, development associate, and crisis counselor. During her academic preparation, Peed monitored state and federal legislation that had a potential impact on health care professionals and health care delivery systems.
She has a Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland, with a concentration in management and a specialty in health.
