The DC Action Coalition reconvened in May to revitalize the mission and vision of the coalition’s work. In attendance were eight nursing leaders representing the cross section of practice, academia, and research. The coalition reviewed and passed unanimously updated mission and vision statements inherent to Campaign for Action’s principles toward improving health in the District of Columbia. The coalition also discussed future potential initiatives that align with goals outlined in the Culture of Health, including improving access to care, transforming nursing education, and building healthier communities.
