Rachel Melo, MA
Rachel Melo is a project manager for the Center to Champion Nursing in America, an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to improve America’s health through nursing. Working in the Office of Center Integration, Rachel assures alignment and reporting of the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, a national initiative of those same organizations to transform health care through nursing and build healthier communities for everyone in America. Rachel provides technical assistance to state Action Coalitions, and manages the Campaign’s national stakeholder engagement and activities. Prior to joining AARP, she was a program associate with Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute. She also worked as a contractor for the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Ryan White HIV/AIDS program. She earned her master’s in communications from Johns Hopkins University and has a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies from Warren Wilson College.
