Florida Action Coalition’s Stacia Hayes recieves FNA’s Nursing Advocacy Award
Stacia Hays, DNP, CPNP-PC, CNE is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Program Director for UF College of Nursing’s DNP Practice Program. Dr. Hays, a graduate of the Florida Center for Nursing Board Service Initiative is serving on numerous boards and committees. She chairs the Human Trafficking Best Practices and Protocols Workgroup, and was instrumental in the creation of Alliance for Children in Trafficking (ACT). Her participation on the National Rural Healthcare Workgroup helped identify educational needs and barriers to patient care and promoted the importance of evidenced based care to rural pediatric populations. She is the state representative for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. As the regional co-lead of the Action Coalition in Gainesville she is working to help DNP students understand their role in implementing the IOM recommendations. Also Pictured: Ann-Lynn Denker, she was instrumental in the development of the Florida Action Coalition, and is also a statewide advocate and respected leader. Janegale Boyd is the current FNA president, and a past State Representative. She has served as a Board Service Mentor for the Coalition and serves on multiple boards and committees championing nursing.
