Leadership Learning Collaborative Teleconference: State Leadership Institutes

Leadership Learning Collaborative teleconferences are designed to connect state action coalitions with people, ideas and programs that are preparing nurses to lead. The calls offer a discussion forum around topics most relevant to the leadership work that is happening within states or nationally.
On this call Action Coalition representatives from Virginia, Wyoming and North Carolina discussed their experiences in building nurse leadership programs:
- Chris Golding, MSN, RN, Director of Nursing Practice and Education at the North Carolina Nurses Association Leadership Institute, provided an overview of the NCNA Leadership Academy.
- Veronica Taylor, BSN, MS, Director of Professional Development, Infection Prevention and Disaster Preparedness at Campbell County Memorial Hospital, discussed the Wyoming Nurse Leadership Institute, a partnership project between Wyoming Nurses Association and the Wyoming Center for Nurses and Health Care Partnerships.
- Denise Daly Konrad, MS, Program Officer at the Richmond Memorial Health Foundation and Director of the Foundation’s Nurse Leadership Institute, and Ellen Linkenhoker, MSN, RN, CNML, Director of Clinical Education at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery and the Health System Magnet Coordinator, gave details about the Nurse Leadership Institute of Virginia.
