CVS Health Partners With Two Leading Multicultural Nursing Associations

CVS Health announced plans to partner with the National Black Nurses Association and the National Association of Hispanic Nurses—two organizations whose missions are to improve the quality of health care for more Americans by increasing the number of nurses with ethnically diverse backgrounds. As part of its collaboration, CVS Health will establish education and training programs that will strengthen its nursing workforce as well as increase the number of internships and scholarships it offers multicultural candidates.

In a news release about the new alliances, David Casey, vice president of workforce strategies and chief diversity officer at CVS Health, said, “At CVS Health, we recognize the strong connection between a culturally diverse nursing workforce and the ability to provide quality, culturally competent patient care.
