NJ Holds Strategic Planning Session-April 22nd and 23rd

Having come back from the national summit in Washington DC it was obvious  that we needed to move our coalition to the next level. Recognizing that we are in the activiation stage of our Action Coalition work a two day strategic planning session was conducted with a national facilitator, Heather Anderson.    Ensuring we had a diverse group of stakeholders at the table was important  Those able to attend included:  co-chairs of our pillars, CEOs, legislators, governmental agencies, funders, professional organizations such as ONE/NJ, NJSNA, NJHA, business community from the Chamber of Commerce Foundation and NJNI.   Our liasion to CCNA, Pat Polansky joined the group to share her thoughts on how  others are addressing some of the same challenges and to help us move from conversation to action.

Througout the day we identified our imperatives for success and set strategic goals on how we are going to meet them.   Overall it was a necessary step to move us forward at a greater speed.  More to come.
